Quick Summary: Discover how we connect and collaborate in our online coaching sessions. We use video conferencing and continuously document and review your insights, progress, and next steps to ensure you stay on track and exceed your goals!
Our coaching process starts in a rather old-school manner: our very first call – the pre-coaching call – is a simple phone call or, if you’re based internationally, an audio call.
Ready, Steady…
During our call, you share…
- What’s currently on your mind
- Information about your personal and professional background
- How you envision your coaching as support
Based on that, I assess whether my coaching is suitable for you and your situation. I also answer any initial questions you might have.
Your free pre-coaching call helps us to establish a foundation for our coaching relationship!
What comes next once we’ve agreed to work together?
I invite you to share any relevant personal documents prior to our first session. Depending on your topic, these might include notes, sketches, lists, photos, test results, or your resume. They will be added to your personal coaching documentation, which we'll refer to throughout our sessions.
Some people decide not to share anything beforehand, and that’s perfectly fine as well. I review everything before our first session.
… Go! Our Coaching Sessions
Our coaching sessions take place via video conference, giving as a more personal, face-to-face experience. It makes it easy for us to connect and collaborate effectively.
Watch my 35-second summary of how online coaching works:
I recommend logging in from your PC, Mac, or laptop, so we are more flexible with the tools we’re using. However, a tablet or smartphone usually works fine as well.
Before we begin, ensure your sound and video are working. Grab something to drink, make sure you can work focused, and get ready to dive into the session!
During our sessions, we might use a digital whiteboard. It helps visualize your thoughts, brainstorm ideas, and clarify complex relationships or concepts. However, our primary focus will be on our in-depth conversations, where we explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Your Documentation
We make sure to document your insights and next steps. After our first session, you’ll gain access to your personal coaching documentation. This online space will house your goals, session notes, and any other materials relevant to your coaching journey.
Throughout the process, some people decide to share various types of documents within their coaching documentation, such as further reflections, letters, poems, Excel sheets, mind maps, or photos.
With your documentation, you always have access to your outcomes, insights, and next steps – and a clear record of your development journey!
Your Journey: Evaluation and Next Steps
We continuously review the personal and professional growth you’ve achieved through the coaching process. This helps you to stay fully aware of your progress, identify any needed adjustments, and ensure you’re on track – to not only meet but often exceed your goals.
At the end of our process, I invite you to evaluate your coaching. This is a crucial part of our work together: to review your outcomes, reflect on the process, and assess our coaching relationship.
Finally, we discuss how we stay in touch after your coaching. Some people choose to return for additional sessions as needed. Others prefer to continue working with me by scheduling regular sessions. These allow you to maintain momentum, address new challenges, and ensure continuous growth and development.
